[Throwback Thursday] Subway & 702

Welp since the title of my last post was "This Little Game We Play" why not stick with the theme for #ThrowbackThursday. The hit song "This Lil' Game We Play", by Motown's 90's group Subway and labelmates 702, came out back in 1995 and was probably one of the hottest songs of that year. The single actually went gold, selling almost a million copies. And check this out… it was produced by Gerald Levert! So you already know it was a banger! I still listen to this song regularly, and it's on both of my ipods.
You can check out the video below as well as a few other videos from 702… They were one of my favorite 90's R&B girl groups! Don't you just miss the 90's??

I have to agree in every way! I was thinking about this last night, and it hit me just how much we all love a good chase. How often do we find ourselves going after that one person who shows us the least interest? Now I’m not saying that we go for the worst possible people lol, but I do think we go for those that give us a chase rather than those who are readily available to us.br /br /Think about it like this, if there are two guys/girls that you’re into but one calls and texts you faithfully and the other does randomly but not all the time… which will you be into more? In this situation I’m not speaking of any serious relationships, but say you’re just getting to know both. I can’t speak for everyone else (and I may be backwards myself), but I would probably more interested in the person who I don’t hear from as often. That person would just seem more intriguing to me, and personally I love a challenge. I’m not the type of person who wants someone who runs at my beck and call lol, so I do find myself “chasing thrills” more often than I should! I can honestly say most of the time I come out losing thinking like this, but hey at least I can be honest about it! Lolbr /a name=’more’/abr /Now on the other hand say you’re in a relationship or you’ve been seeing someone for quite awhile. Have you noticed the less attention you pay to that person, the more attention they show you? Say for instance your boo has been acting different for whatever reason. They could be mad at you for something, or always busy with less time for you, or ANYTHING in general… when you start nagging them about the situation, it pushes them away more. But when you put your foot down and pretend you don’t care at all, they fix it. O_o we as human beings are CRAZY lol, but you know this is true. It seems like the more we act like we don’t care, the more they care. #wheretheydothatatbr /br /I wonder why it is that we always go for the ones that are hard to get over the ones that are right at our disposal? And why do we show the one we love more attention when we feel like they’re slipping away? That could be avoided if we just stay on our jobs from jump, then they won’t have a reason to start treating us differently. Do you agree that people love the thrill of the chase? I actually don’t even mind being up and at work today even though it was still dark outside when I got here O_0… For the first time in who knows how long, Trey was actually awake when I dropped him off at school this morning. He goes on to ask me “Mama why is it dark outside?” Lol! I tried to explain to him that when the seasons change it stays dark longer, but he didn’t understand. Kids are too funny!/divdiv align=”center”br //divdiv align=”center”Speaking of my little man, unfortunately he’s pretty much accident prone like his mama and is always getting hurt in some kind of way. (I’m hoping he’ll grow out of this!!) I got a call from his teacher on Friday while I was at work saying that Trey had hurt his arm at school. He was apparently playing on the carpet sitting down, and one of his friends were running around and ran into his arm which caused his wrist and hand to bend backwards. I initially thought it was broken because his teacher said he wouldn’t move it. After he kept complaining to her about it, I got off worknbsp;and took him to the doctor. Him being the dramatic child that he is, had me carrying him into the doctor’s office, then into the hospital where they had to do his xray. Luckily nothing was broken or fractured, but they gave him a wrist brace to wear for a few days. I can’t help but thank God that it wasn’t more serious! (God knows I can’t deal with being his nurse for too long, I’m telling ya’ll he is EXTREME when he’s hurt!! LOL)/divdiv align=”center”a name=’more’/abr //divdiv align=”center”Anywho, this weekend may have just been the best weekend of my whole year and I’m not even hyping it up! Majority of my mom’s side of the family live out of town, but many of them came home this weekend for my aunt and cousin’s birthday party on Saturday. If you know my family then you know there is never a dull moment! We partied at the family house on both Friday and Saturday night like there was no tomorrow lol. Every time we all get together it’s definitely a celebration! There was good food (and I’m talking fried fish, baked fish, baked beans, burgers, hot dogs, pasta salad, steaks, shrimp skewers… you name it we had it!), there were endless drinks, good music, and just plain old family fun! They even had champagne and jello shooters, so you know we got it in lol./divdiv align=”center”br //divdiv align=”center”I’m the type of person who is very big on family, and I’d rather spend time partying with my family over going out any day. My mom recently moved an hour away, and I never realized how much I missed her until this weekend. I also got to spend time with my grandma on my mom’s side who lives four hours away. I don’t get to see her enough, so that definitely made my weekend! On top of that, there are twelve remaining siblings of my grandma including her, and of those twelve seven of them were with us this weekend. Do you know how much of a blessing that is for me to see all them together? I kept leaving the younger family members from my generation to go upstairs and catch some old stories from my grandma and her siblings when they were growing up. I’m such an old soul :) /divdiv align=”center”br //divdiv align=”center”Obviously I had an epic weekend, so it’s not hard to see why I don’t mind being at work today. One thing in life that I never want to lose are my memories. I never knew I would miss my childhood so much, but in the meantime I plan to make new memories to look back and bask in as well. [Throwback Thursday] Ray J & Fab

With all the beef surrounding Ray J and Fab earlier this week, it was only right that I dedicated #ThrowbackThursday to them! I decided to post a song from each artist when they first came out, that helped put them on the map (Fab's being moreso my favorite over Ray's lol)… I won't lie though this song of Ray J's used to KNOCK back in the day. But the Fab joint below was definitely a summer time banger.
