Ashanti Goes Deep for “Never Should Have”

Ashanti is back and ain’t playing no games with her new single “Never Should Have”. When Ashanti first hit the scene, I was a major fanatic! I bought her album on the release day and played it to death until I lost it. It’s nice to see her back in the game because she is definitely one of the best songwriters hands down. All of her songs consist of lyrics that you can actually feel.

It’s no different with this new song as she sings about a past love and heartbreak. I’m not gonna lie, I had to let this one grow on me but after listening to or three times, I like it. Now that I’ve seen the actual visual for myself, I REALLY like it! She really captured the emotions behind the song and put them on perfect display with this video. [The Game] Guess Who’s Bizzack

Last night’s episode of The Game was so good!! It had the comical sense from previous seasons, but the love scenes between the couples are what have melted my heart! On this episode Blue is struggling at the team’s training camp after dropping three consecutive passes from Malik. Jason then goes and shows Blue up by catching a running pass from Malik in his suit pants, button up shirt, and hush puppy dress shoes lol. Malik is so upset about Blue’s lack of ability that he skypes Tasha and Tee Tee on 3-way. Of course Tasha and Tee Tee had the jokes rolling, but came up with a solution for Malik in the process. Tasha felt that Blue needed a Sunbeam to help get him on his game, but Tee Tee and Malik felt otherwise.

Tasha and Jazz (my favorite!) take it upon themselves to pay Kiera a visit and talk her into being Blue’s Sunbeam. She tells them that she and Blue aren’t on that level, but he later calls her asking her to bring him his favorite pillow. Of course Kiera gives him attitude at first but at the end of the episode she’s seen meeting him so he can get his pillow. They agree that as long as she owes him $75,000 she’ll be his support system in the football world. They made pinky promises to each other! I thought that was sooo cute!! I just love them! I’m like Melanie and Derwin who at this point?? Lol

[New Video] Body Party- Ciara

OMG Ciara is back!! She just gave me complete life and made me whole again lol! First of all I’ve loved Ciara since day one and played the mess out of her first album. I’ve been waiting on her to make a comeback for awhile and I knew that she had a hit on her hands with “Body Party” from jump. I’ve listened to this song so many times it makes no sense!

The visual for the hit just premiered on 106 & Park today and it is FIRE! I loved everything about it from the dancing (which I knew she was going to KILL) to the affectionate display of her relationship with Future. I definitely love seeing them as a couple, and they looked so cute the video! But my real focus was on her dancing and how sick her body is. The girl has skills, you cannot deny that! Just watch for yourself after the break lol. Let me know what you think!

And to think some of ya’ll said they wouldn’t make it! Happy 5th Anniversary to my FAVORITE celebrity couple, Beyonce’ and Hovie baby! I just love them! I was just thinking back to when they first started openly dating each other. They had so many critiques about the simplest things. They never held hands in public, Jay-Z always walked in front of her, they weren’t public enough, it wasn’t really… you name it, they heard it. But I believed from jump that their love was real, and I’ve always respected the fact that they take such pride in their privacy. That’s how all relationships should be!

I am always here for Beyonce’ tea. Always. I love this woman! But you knew that. She just released her new Pepsi commercial titled “Mirrors” where she is seen slayingggg from her past life. She mirrors her younger self by imitating the dance moves from her old videos and of course she kills it! The song that’s heard playing in the background is a snippet of her new single “Grown Woman”. It sounds like it’s gonna be a banger and I can’t wait to hear the full version!!

So Cassie makes music to numb your brain and I’m not sure how I feel about this. Man I LOVED everything about Cassie when she came out with “Me & U”. Granted she wasn’t the best singer but her style and looks made up for her lackluster performances. Well it’s been almost 7 years since she dropped that single and we haven’t had a hit from her since. Now Cassie is set to release her new mixtape titled Rockabye Baby on April 11th. She and the likes of Diddy and Rick Ross have been promoting this mixtape for a few weeks now, hyping it up to be a mixtape masterpiece.

Cassie just released the video for the first song from the mixtape called “Numb” but I’ll let you be the judge of it. Let’s just say that there might be a reason that Cassie hasn’t had a hit in years. I don’t think any amount of money Diddy has can make music work for her. I don’t know about anyone else but I’m really liking the new season of The Game! Tasha Mack has the most going on living a double life with both Rick Fox and Pookie. At the beginning of the episode she’s Facetiming Pookie and as they say I love you to each other and disconnect the call, Rick pops up from behind a pillow in her bed! Her son Malik also has his own issues as he’s still dealing with his alcohol addiction in a club surrounded by drinks.

Finally someone is standing against degrading, disrespectful rap lyrics in the industry and I ain’t mad one bit! I’m sure you all have heard about the radio station that has pulled Rocko’s new song “You Don’t Even Know It” from their playlists due to Rick Ross’ ignorant line about slipping someone a Molly. The lyrics specifically say, “Put Molly all in that champagne, you don’t even know it. I took her home and enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it”. Umm excuse me?? I didn’t even realize this until today and I’ve heard the song on the radio several times. Usually if the radio is on I just let whatever play because it’s edited, but clearly I need to listen a little more closely for the sake of my own child.
