On the go actress/mom Angelina Jolie is a true boss!

Happy Monday bosses and boss chics! I’m a little late posting today but it’s been yet another hectic Monday. I have a three page paper due tomorrow for my Professional Communications class, and of course I hadn’t started it as of today. It wouldn’t be me if I had lol. So despite the fact that I had class this morning and worked eight hours today, I came home and completed my paper within two hours. Sometimes I get so mad at myself for always waiting until the last minute to get things done, and I tend to beat myself up about it. But then I thought about it today and you know what? At least I get it all done. (Plus it helps that writing comes natural to me *smiles*)

Chris Lighty pictured with 50 Cent

It’s a sad day in the hip hop world as long term hip hop manager and founder of Violator Management, Chris Lighty, was found dead outside of his home in the Bronx. He was reported to have committed suicide after a heated argument with his estranged wife, Veronica. Unfortunately he was only 44 years old.

Chris Lighty is responsible for the jump start to the career of A Tribe Called Quest, and was the long standing manager of the likes of Mariah Carey, 50 Cent, LL Cool J, Busta Rhymes, and Ja Rule to name a few. It’s crazy how so many significant figures are not only dying these days, but taking their own lives. The sad thing is we’re hearing about these types of acts on a national level way more than we used to. You can get the full details of his death at NY Daily News to find out more.

Toya Wright at Noir Hotel Grey Goose Event

Happy Saturday bosses and boss chics! One of my favorite boss chics Toya Wright was spotted out with her hubby at the Noir Hotel for a Grey Goose event dressed in green & orange Christian Louboutins, green jeans, an orange clutch, and a flowy button down top. I just love this look! It exudes class and sexiness but in a fun and flirty way.

I wanted to try and recreate her look but with a twist of my own. I am all about flower prints right now and found the perfect shoe to top this off. I wanted to stick to her theme of green because it pairs well with the shoes I picked. Instead of an orange clutch, I chose a more coral color to bring out the flowers in the shoes. The shoes are Jessica Simpson, jeans are from Forever21, and the top is from LoveCulture.com.

Slim’s shoot with Courtney Yellock styling and makeup done by me

Happy Saturday Bosses and Boss Chics! I told you guys the other day that I had picked up a hobby of styling and doing makeup for local models in my area. Well one of the models who I went to school with hit me up earlier in the week and asked if I could help at her shoot. Of course I said yes because it’s become a fun hobby for me. This time we shot with photographer Courtney Yellock who has done MANY shoots in our area.

When I got there we decided to do a floral, flirty type of outfit, a sexy short pink dress, and then she did a look in a bathing suit in a mirror frame. I won’t post the bathing suit pics, I’ll leave that to her to post to her facebook and whatnot but I did want to share the final picture of her floral outfit which you can see above. Also below I took a close up picture of her makeup as well as a few in the pink dress.
