Forever21 Pintucked Shirt Dress $14.80

What’s up bosses and boss chics! I haven’t been staying up on my fashion posts like I normally do, but I found the cutest shirt dress for cheap and couldn’t wait to blog about it. Shirt dresses are one of the most versatile pieces of clothing you could ever have! They can be worn over tights in the winter, or with cute sandals and accessories in the summer. I was doing some online browsing and came across this cute shirt dress pictured above from Forever21 for only $14.80. I wanted to create a look centered around this dress that would be inexpensive yet chic.

I paired this dress with multicolored cork platforms, a tan waist belt, and wooden bracelets to color block with the shoes. Each item is under $30 a piece, which proves that you don’t have to buy name brand just to be fly. out the rest of the items below and let me know if you’re feeling this look!

[Dress For Less] Target Tee Top BodyCon Dress

Xhilaration BodyCon Tee Top Dress $18

Happy Hump Day bosses and boss chics! First of all let me just tell ya’ll how I had written this WHOLE blog last night and somehow when I was done, all that was left was the picture above *sad face*. Any who, I’ve been getting numerous requests for more “look for less” type posts to help some of my viewers find items that are more budget friendly. Now before I continue just keep in mind that the clothes and things I post are usually just items I found from some of my favorite websites. It doesn’t mean I’m paying that much for any of it, it’s all just to give you guys an idea of how I make different looks based on my individual style.

On that note, you can always go out and find similar pieces like the ones I post on for much cheaper prices. However I do want to start working on more posts that are budget friendly to help you guys out. What I try to do is buy lots of simple, staple items for my closet like this blue dress above. When you have items like those, you can spice it up with different shoes and accessories to make different looks. What I usually splurge on is shoes. I’ve said numerous times that I try to base my outfit around my shoes. When you just buy the outfit you have to go out and find shoes to match, but when you already have the shoes it’s easy to go find a cheap dress or shirt to match.

The dress above can be found at Target for only $18 and it’s so easy to use for color blocking! You can pair it with yellows, greens, purple or pink and even orange to get the color block effect going. What I did was paired it with some yellow wedges from Aldo’s and a hot pink hobo bag from Forever21. Check those out below and let me know what you think of this look! Be on the look out for more posts like this as well!

[Fashion Files] The Floral Blazer

Now that Spring has finally arrived, I have this newfound obsession with blazers. Let’s just face it, this is a staple item that every female should have in her closet because they will probably never go out of style again. We now have so many options for unique blazers that you can wear them literally over everything. Blazers come in different designs, colors, and patterns so if you own a few your wardrobe should never be dull.

One of my favorite designs right now is the floral print and for obvious reasons. Spring is the season of flowers blossoming and beautiful colors blooming all around us. Well the floral blazer exemplifies just that. Since there are so many diverse colors in a floral blazer, it’s easy to use in a color blocking scheme. If you like to wear bright colors this is perfect for you… You can always pair it with a bright pair of pants, a skirt, or dress.

Check out a look I created below with the River Island Tropical Floral Blazer found at ASOS for $80.57. I paired it with a pair of green pants and mustard yellow wedges from Bakers. The wedges color block perfectly with the pants, and since both colors are in the blazer it all ties together classily.  Let me know what you think!

[Fashion Files] Peach Jackets For Spring

What’s up bosses and boss chics! Spring is finally here! Bring on the pastels, bright colors, and open toes! Even though we can honestly say we didn’t have much of a winter here, I’m still ready for warm weather. For the past two weeks in our area it’s been in the 70′s and low 80′s almost every day… crazy right?

Anyway, with the new season comes new trends and peach jackets will be amongst them as seen above. I love this color! I’ve actually had a peach leather jacket for a few years now; it was given to me by my mother. It still looks brand new so I wear it from time to time.

The good thing about having a peach jacket is the ability to color block with it. There are so many colors that go well with this since it’s a pretty neutral shade itself. I’ve seen it worn with bright pinks, white, brown and tans, turquoise and sky blue, as well as greens, purples and oranges. So you definitely can have fun with it and experiment and still be bossy :)

Below I’ve used the blazer to make my own look. I would wear this outfit with chunky gold jewelry.. big earrings, a thick or long necklace, and lots of bracelets! Take a look below and let me know what you think!

SN: The peach in the shoe below is the same shade as in the jacket and the teal in the shoe is the same as in the blouse… the color of the shoe looks a tad darker in the pic below. Also the pants roll up, but you can’t really see that in the pic.
