Welp Brittney’s done it again as she’s won another Boss Chic contest! I have to admit that she is one of my most loyal readers and I appreciate her for always entering our contests! I enjoyed all of our contestants’ different looks and was so happy to see that so many participated this month. Thanks to everyone who submitted pics and shoutout to Darius who came in a very close 2nd! Make sure you stay tuned for the contest for May because it will definitely be a GOOD one! Check out the final results after the break!
Happy Friday bosses and boss chics! It’s time to start our monthly contest all over again seeing that it’s almost April already. It’s crazy how fast time flies. I usually wait until the 1st of the month to start the new contest but since it’s Easter weekend I wanted to go ahead and post it today. The contest this month is based on one of my personal favorite Spring trends. It can be worn with almost anything and even if you create your whole look under this trend it would still be cute.
Pastel colors have always and will always be in. At one point they represented a more reserved, classy style but over time they have been incorporated into many different looks. My two favorite pastel colors are mint green and coral/peach and I wear them both quite often. I recently bought a few pastel pieces from Target before I went on a no shopping binge, and I definitely can’t wait to wear them!
Send your pastel outfit to email@example.com by April 10th to enter our contest for a chance to win any item of your choice from Trixi’s Closet as long as it’s in stock! The readers will be our judges again Have a good Easter weekend!
Now that Spring has finally arrived, I have this newfound obsession with blazers. Let’s just face it, this is a staple item that every female should have in her closet because they will probably never go out of style again. We now have so many options for unique blazers that you can wear them literally over everything. Blazers come in different designs, colors, and patterns so if you own a few your wardrobe should never be dull.
One of my favorite designs right now is the floral print and for obvious reasons. Spring is the season of flowers blossoming and beautiful colors blooming all around us. Well the floral blazer exemplifies just that. Since there are so many diverse colors in a floral blazer, it’s easy to use in a color blocking scheme. If you like to wear bright colors this is perfect for you… You can always pair it with a bright pair of pants, a skirt, or dress.
Check out a look I created below with the River Island Tropical Floral Blazer found at ASOS for $80.57. I paired it with a pair of green pants and mustard yellow wedges from Bakers. The wedges color block perfectly with the pants, and since both colors are in the blazer it all ties together classily. Let me know what you think!
What’s up bosses and boss chics! Spring is finally here! Bring on the pastels, bright colors, and open toes! Even though we can honestly say we didn’t have much of a winter here, I’m still ready for warm weather. For the past two weeks in our area it’s been in the 70′s and low 80′s almost every day… crazy right?
Anyway, with the new season comes new trends and peach jackets will be amongst them as seen above. I love this color! I’ve actually had a peach leather jacket for a few years now; it was given to me by my mother. It still looks brand new so I wear it from time to time.
The good thing about having a peach jacket is the ability to color block with it. There are so many colors that go well with this since it’s a pretty neutral shade itself. I’ve seen it worn with bright pinks, white, brown and tans, turquoise and sky blue, as well as greens, purples and oranges. So you definitely can have fun with it and experiment and still be bossy
Below I’ve used the blazer to make my own look. I would wear this outfit with chunky gold jewelry.. big earrings, a thick or long necklace, and lots of bracelets! Take a look below and let me know what you think!
SN: The peach in the shoe below is the same shade as in the jacket and the teal in the shoe is the same as in the blouse… the color of the shoe looks a tad darker in the pic below. Also the pants roll up, but you can’t really see that in the pic.
