Last weekend for Mother’s Day I was honored to have the chance to style my own “Boss Chic Walk” in the annual Mother/Daughter Fashion Show given by the Sandra M Estes Scholarship Foundation locally. The scholarship is intended for single mothers attending nursing school to help with their college tuition. A good friend of mine, Marissa, started this fashion show last year in honor of her mother, where women and their daughters coordinate outfits and strut on stage. The little girls who are in the show every year always steal the spotlight with their diva attitudes and fierce walks!
In my personal section, I had ten models that I chose to walk and wear looks that I styled myself. I got some of the pieces from my own closet and some were found while thrifting. Other items came from some of the models themselves. They were all such a big help and so cooperative in the fast paced environment. I couldn’t be more thankful! All of the accessories for my part of the show came from Trixi’s Closet, who graciously let me use anything they had without hesitation. The different looks were put together with Trixi’s Closet jewelry in mind to show how versatile the pieces are. Not to mention to showcase how dope my style is! LOL jk or am I?
